| Abstraksi | : | When the interpretation of early recollections is employed as a projective technique, sensory experiences include vision, hearing, touch, smell, and taste. Persons may also relate multisensory memories from early childhood, and each sense modality involves critical aspects of organic functioning and adaptation to life. Early recollection case illustrations and connmentary assist in clarifying possible meanings of various sensorial expressions. Counseling implications evolve fronn those client sensory functions which are manifest in their early recollections. An awareness of client tendencies toward particular sense modalities serves to enhance empathie understanding and contribute to sound treatment interventions. |
