| Abstraksi | : | Abstract The authors investigate relationships between personality variables measured from the viewpoint of Individual Psychology with the BASIS-A Inventory (Wheeler, Kern, & Curlette, 1993) and leadership styles measured using the Multileadership Questionnaire (Bass & Avolio, 1990) using 240 participants involved in various levels of management. They synthesize their results with two other studies (Blackburn, 2000; Bono & Judge, 2004), which relate the BASIS-A Inventory to transformational leadership..Results suggest the Softness and Striving for Perfection scales of the BASIS-A Inventory distinguish between high transformational leaders and low transformational leaders. The Striving for Perfection and Wanting Recognition BASIS-A scales accounted for 11.3% of the variance in a transformational leadership index derived from the Multileadership Questionnaire, supporting Bass's (1990) theory of leadership. |
