The model is especially designed for use with transient excitations, where the incident and reflected waveforms within the transmission line are of interest, and the latter is determined directly in the FDTD calculation. The model is verified for both transmission and reception of transient waveforms by comparison with measured results for a cylindrical monopole antenna with a plane reflector |
