Abstraksi:Abstract. Hantavirus is a cause of emerging rodent born disease with mild to severe symptoms in human. They are ssRNA virus which are consist of several subtypes that belong to Bunyaviridae family and Hantavirus genus. Two clinical manifestations that caused by Hantavirus infection in human are: First, which is known as Hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome (HFRS), that caused by Hantaan virus (HTNV ), Dobrava Puumala dan Seoul (SEOV) subtypes and Apodemus agrarius as reservoir. Second, Hemorrhagic fever pulmonary syndrome (HPS) which are Sin Nombre (SNV), Bayou virus (BAY), Black Canal Creek (BCC) dan New York virus (NY) subtypes as the causative agents and used Peromyscus maniculatus as reservaoir. Serological study among rodents and human population in several sea port cities in Indonesia indicated that hantavirus antibodies prevalence are rodents species specific and range between 7.9% - 40.3%. In addition in human the antibody prevalence were between 1.1% - 8.2%, the highest prevalence of human was in Maumere up to 28.9%.
