| Abstraksi | : | SGLoverz Korwil Solo which is a brand community that has been established for 6 years, isone community that shaped brand community is quite solid and compact. This encouragesresearchers to see how the formation of groupthink phenomena in SGLoverzKorwil Soloas a brand community that has a close enough cohesiveness and has a love for the PO.Sumber Group. This study aims to find out how groupthink phenomenon occurs in a brandcommunity. According to theory, groupthink is encouraged by the high cohesiveness ofdecision-making groups, the specific structural characteristics of the environment in whichthese groups work, and internal and external characteristics. This study uses a qualitativeparadigm, and takes place in Surakarta.Data retrieval for research using indepth interview technique, where the results of indepthinterview that has been done poured into the form of transcript. In this study, researcherstook data from 7 informants who are all members of SGLoverzKorwil Solo, and the 7informants were taken using snow ball sampling technique. From the results of researchand data that have been collected and supported with the results of the analysis prepared,it can be concluded that in SGLoverzKorwil Solo groupthink phenomenon begins with theformation of group identity and the existence of high cohesiveness in the group. Then asfor the decision-making, the decision was taken by the Chairman of the Korwil that hasdiscussed with the board members so the members cannot give too much advice. And theform of groupthink phenomena within the SGLoverzKorwil Solo is the presence of superiorfeelings, stereotypes towards the out-group, and the pressure to achieve uniformity.Keywords: , , , |
