Abstraksi:The dinner plate fig, Ficus dammaropsis Diels (family Moraceae), is tropical fig tree with giant leaves. It is native to New Guinea. The tree can reach 4-10 m tall. The thick leaves are deeply veined and wavy. It is cauliflorus, the figs can get to be the size of a baseball, with numerous red or yellow coriaceous lateral bracts so it is very similar to a dragon fruit. The general usefulness of this plant is as an ornamental plant, but the fruit and young leaves of which are eaten by indigenous people of New Guinea.
