| Abstraksi | : | The objective of the research is to analysis the role of female in food diversification effort in order to reach food security that is affected by householder in Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta (DIY), Indonesia. Refocused in role of female household level because female is the decision maker to choose and serve the food household consumption. The staple food in household level are actually designed based on local agricultural crop and aimed to fulfill the household daily consumption and also to build the food security in household level. By using the primer data in all region in DIY i. e. Sleman Yogyakarta city, Kulonprogo, Bantul and Gunungkidul, we concluded that every region has difference food diversification pattern. The rice paddy in all regions is the main food, follow with fried flour noodle, cassava, corn, potatoes and arrowroot. All regions showed that Household Income is main factor that influences role of female to do the food security In other hand, income of householder is the certain factor that affected food diversification pattern in each region. In the end of the research we agree that increased of household income can make the food security, which affected by availability, accessibility, safety and sustainability of foods in at least on household level. |
