| Abstraksi | : | The feature of Facebook group has shaped another virtual speech community. When the participants of a Facebook group are bilingual speakers, two or more languages will inevitably come into contact. This study aims to classify patterns and analyze feature within those patterns in the use of Bahasa Indonesia and English that appear in utterances based on Muyskens typology of code-mixing. A set of corpus in Facebook group of bilingual speakers were used in this study. The data were collected by using table adaptation of Muykens typology of code-mixing. The results show that there are three patterns found in this study: insertion, alternation and congruent lexicalization. Founded features of insertion are single constituent, nested aba, content word, selected element and morphological integration of alternation are several constituents, adverb, emblematic or tag, major clause boundary, periperality, and embedding in discourse of congruent lexicalizational are non-nested aba, diverse switches, function word switches, linear equivalence, morphological integration, homophonous diamorphs, triggering and mixed collocation, Several restrictions of the research result in the suggestion of the use of ethnographic approach while discussions on theoretical and practical issues toward the findings invite careful observation and particularized concern. |
