| Abstraksi | : | Society has regarded television as a 'magic box' in which social reality can be seenthrough this mass media. One form is reality show program. Reality shows are oftenconsidered useless because of the entertainment and dramatization in it. Reality showwith entertainment format is one of them is reality show Mantu Import. The reality thatamong the masses has mixed marriages, making the distinction of cultural background notonly affects both spouses, but also those involved in the marriage, both the family and thepeople around it. This show is one example that cultural values influence mixed marriagelife.This study aims to find out more in how the values of Javanese culture in reality showMantu Import which aired private television station RCTI in the period of March 2017. Themethod used is the analysis of quantitative content with descriptive approach. The observeddimensions are the dimensions ofcultural values and the dimensions ofcasting cultural values.The results showed that cultural values appeared in more than half the duration of viewing(67.34%). Cultural values that emerged highest were the cultural values of the moral aspects(32.34%), then the attitude of harmony (23.96%), beauty/aesthetic aspects (20.78%),obedience (17.74%), 3.92%), and the least is the attitude of responsibility (1.26%). For thecategory of cultural values, the dominant cast is 50.67%, the second is the main character& extras (40%), and the third is the main character & supporter (9.33%).Javanese cultural values in reality show Mantu Import is a practical or applicable value thatcan be applied by all levels of society. All the cultural values of both the family's culturalvalues group and the social cultural values emerging on these impressions have theirrespective portions. The role of cultural values also shows how the delivery of Javanesecultural values both from the behaviors and dialogue is displayed. Reality show MantuImport is an entertainment program in the form of reality show which is full of culturalvalues with the duration of cultural value of 67.34%.Keywords: reality sh~~ cC!!]tent analysis, . |
