| Abstraksi | : | The Namuk Tailing storagefacility stores the major tailings for Kelian Gold Mine. Construction ve Namcrk dam had been completed in September 1991 and used continuously for tailing storage. dam designed to act as a water retaining structure with a clay core and supporting shells of fill, contains a number of instruments to monitor the behavior of the dam. In order to prepare for the closure of the Namuk Tailing dam, data of the Namuk dam were ved and downstream slope stability reviewed. Based on the effective stress parameters obtained, 'actor of safety of the original profile of down stream slope was 1,17 whereas the safety factor for -e-profiled downstream slope of'] V.- 2,5 H was 2,10. Indicated was that the dam with a re profiled nstream slope is acceptable for closure, however to ensure continued monitoring during additional rtruction existing instrumentation have to be included in the final design of' the embankment reprofilling. |
