| Abstraksi | : | It is believed that the concurrent engineering approach can intprtnie designs, reduce product lead time, reduce costs and improve quality. This approach has gained world wide attention due to the increasing level of competition that has been influenced by the globalisation issue, rapid technological changes, environmental issues, etc. Complexity in multi-site and multi-partner concurrent engineering projects can lead to occurrence of risks. An effective risk management approach will contribute to the success of CE implementation. This study aims to provide a deep insight of risle management practice in concurrent engineering projects. Risk factors, risk events, risk drivers, risk consequences and risk mitigation are identified from published journals. From eight case studies presented, it was found that all companies realise the benefits of CE and implement this approach in their project for gaining those benefits, especially for reducing project completion time However there is no formal risk management practice are employed when the risks are occur |
