Abstraksi:This paper presents saron transcription using Short-time Fourier Transform (STFT). Each magnitude peak represents fundamental frequency and attack time of a note that were utilized as the base components of transcription. Two threshold values were employed. The first one was used to mark fundamental frequencies contained in a song, while the second one was used to remove the undesired spikes contained in each fundamental frequency. Experiments were carried out among five recordings of ManyarSewu song, each of which comprises the playing of single saron and the mixed instruments. Each recording was tested using varying window length of STFT from 2048 to 16384 with 10 ms overlap, in order to examine the performance of transcription. The proposed method had to deal with
