| Abstraksi | : | Ficus is a member of Moraceae and have uniqueness in pollination system. Interaction between Ficus and pollinator (fig wasp) is species-specific. Some Ficus in Cibodas Botanic Garden (CBG) have reproduction limitation due to the lack of pollinators. About 27% of 30 Ficus species of Cibodas collection are native to Cibodas and they are survive to maintain their reproduction i. e. F. deltoidea, F. fistulosa, F. heterophylla, F. lepicarpa, F. ribes, F. rubra, F. sinuata ssp. cuspidata, and F. variegata. It is because of location of CBG which close to natural forest that facilitates the dispersal of their fig wasp. Meanwhile, the others of Ficus species collection (21 species) are collected from distant location. Many of them are collected in the juvenile life stages. So, they are disabled to produce seed due to the limitation of their fig wasp. |
