| Abstraksi | : | Unlike other works on Faust that primarily concern with his damnation, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's Faust is a distinguished one—an optimistic one—that brings Faust his final salvation. This writing focuses on analyzing Goethe's masterpiece Faust that is written during the Renaissance. This literary work, after numerous attempts on analysis, reveals the spirit of Renaissance, namely: thrust in nature, enthusiasm for beauty, and love of life. These are the proofs of an act of pursuing rather than gaining that makes life worth to be lived. |
