| Abstraksi | : | Translation can be defined to transfer a message from source language into receptor language (target language) first in term of meaning and secondly in terms of style. The process of translation are analyses, grammatical analyses, meaning analyses, transferring and restructuring. in English there is grammatical category in translating, tenses. One of the tenses is Simple Past Tense. in translating English Simple Past Tense, there are two forms of Simple Past, the adverb of time, if Simple Past indicates adverb of time, if should not be translated 'telah' or `sudah' in Indonesia. But if the Simple Past does not indicate any adverb of time, it should be translated into 'Telah' or `sudah'. English Simple Past definition can be used to shoe activities, actions or event in certain time in the past and which already been done or finished. Adverbs of times which functions to indicate past activities are last night, at 3 o'clock, a few days ago, yesterday indicate past time. English Simple Past forms 'never' is translated into Yidak pernah', `belum juga' or Yidak sempat'. `Always' can be translated into `selalu'. |
