AN ANALYSIS OF TZVETAN TODOROV’S NARRATIVE STRUCTURE AND MORAL VALUES IN FEEL THE BEAT MOVIE
ABSTRAKSI :
Narrative structure is about how the narration in a story is created. In this research, researchers examined not only the plot of the movie but also its moral values. This research aimed to find out narrative structure and moral values contained in Feel the Beat movie. To analyze the data, the researcher employed qualitative descriptive method. In this research, the researcher used Tzvetan Todorov’s theory and Linda & Eyre’s theory to analyze the movie. In this research, the researcher found 5 narrative structures consist of 6 data such as equilibrium (1), disruption (2), recognation disruption (1), attempt to repair the disruption (1), and reinstatement of the equilibrium (1) in Feel the Beat movie. Also, the researcher found 5 moral values consist of 7 data in Feel the Beat movie such as courage (1) and peace of ability (1) which are included as values of being, whereas respect (2), love (1), and the last one is unselfishness and sensitivity (2) are included into values of giving.
