An Error Analysis of Spelling in Written English Adjective Words
ABSTRAKSI :
Spelling in written English words is the writing of a word or words with the necessary letter in an accepted standard order. The students always carelessly in spelling in written of English words, but actually they do not how to write the spelling of words correctly. Without vocabularies, the students may not understand what they want to write, especially in English as a foreign language. That is why, spelling is needed. The objectives of this research are to find out the errors in spelling and the errors that mostly made by the students. In this research, the method that is used is a quantitative research method. A quantitative research method involves intensive data collection, which is the collection of statistical analysis and this research is focused on the result. The result of this research are the biggest error is errors in substitution are 54 errors (77, 14%), in omission are 9 errors (12, 86), and in addition are 7 errors (10%). It is mean that the mostly errors that students made is the errors in substitution of one letter to another.
