NARCISSISTIC PERSONALITY DISORDER OF Dr. ROBOTNIK IN THE SONIC THE HEDGEHOG MOVIE
ABSTRAKSI :
This research is about the narcissistic personality disorder of Dr. Robotnik. The objective of this research are to find out the symptom of narcissistic personality disorder on the character Dr. Robotnik, and to find out the most dominant symptom of Dr. Robotnik’s personality disorder. The researcher used a movie titled Sonic The Hedgehog, by Jeff Fowler, released in January 25th, 2020. The data was found from dialogues and scenes. The researcher used the qualitative method on this research, and used the theory by American Psychiatrist Association about narcissistic personality disorder. After carefully watching the movie Sonic The Hedgehog, the researcher found a total of 12 data. 2 of the data showed about grandiose sense of self-importance, 3 of them were about believing that he or she is special and unique, 1 of them showed sense of entitlement, 4 of the data showed lack of empathy, and the last 2 is about showing arrogant, haughty behavior. The most dominant symptom based on the data gathered is lack of empathy.
