ONTOLOGICAL METAPHORS IN ARCTIC MONKEYS‘ BATPHONE SONG
ABSTRAKSI :
Batphone is a song that written by Alex Turner, lead vocalist of Arctic Monkeys, that released on May 2018 in an album entitled Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino that tells about technology and gives both an analysis and criticism of modern day use of devices. The research aimed at findings the metaphor that contain in this song and finding meaning of words and sentences that contain of metaphor by using the theory by Lakoff and Johnson. The data was analyzed qualitatively for the propose of this research into exploring and understanding about metaphor. The result of this research there are 19 data of words and sentences that contain of metaphor, and mostly categorized in ontological metaphor.
