PYSCHOANALYSIS OF JOEL BARISH IN ETERNAL SUNSHINE OF THE SPOTLESS MIND MOVIE
ABSTRAKSI :
Psychoanalysis is a school in psychology that was pioneered by Sigmund Freud, who was stated about the structure of human’s mind, namely, Id as a representative of human's biological instinct, Ego as a representative of reality, and Superego as a representative of conscience. This research aims to analysis the Id, Ego, and Superego reflected in Joel Barish character in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind movie. Data analysis using three structures of mind from Sigmund Freud’s theory, namely, Id, Ego, and Superego. The researcher used qualitative research methods. The result of this research shows all the Id, Ego, and Superego had been found in Joel Barish character. The details are 7 data of Id, 11 data of Ego, and 2 data of Superego.
