Stereotype masculine traits in the character flynn rider from the film tangled
ABSTRAKSI :
This research describes the portrayal of male masculinity through a character in an animation film. The aim of this research is to find out the Stereotypical Masculine Traits in the character of Flynn Rider in the film Tangled. This research used a descriptive qualitative method. The theory used for analyzing the data are the Stereotypical Masculine Traits proposed by Janet Satzman Chafetz (1979). The results of the research shows that the character in Tangled’s film, Flynn Rider has the Stereotypical Masculine Traits expressed by Janet Saltzman Chafetz, including 1) Physical appearance, 2) Functional, 3) Sexual, 4) Emotions, 5) Intellectual, 6) Interpersonal, and 7) Other personal
