ABSTRAKSI :
Hermeneutics is philosophical in nature because it is "part of the art of thinking". Schleiermacher used this field mainly in the discussion of philosophy and theology. According to Schleiermacher, there are two essentially identical hermeneutic tasks: grammatical and psychological. This study aims to determine the meaning of a sentence by using grammatical and psychological interpretations in the lyrics of the Eagle's song "Hotel California". The Eagles is a band that take the genre of Pop music Country Music, and Hard Rock. The band was formed in the United States in 1971 consisting of Glenn Frey (lead vocals, guitar), Don Henley (backing vocals, drums), Bernie Leadon (backing vocals, guitar), and Randy Meisner (backing vocals, bass).
