THE SLANG WORD IN THE KISSING BOOTH 2 MOVIE
ABSTRAKSI :
Slang is a form of word or phrase and usually spoken by young people in their daily conversations. The use of slang terms is to express someone’s emotions in a more fun way then using conventional terms and to show their interest in social identity. The research problem is what are the types of slang terms in “The Kissing Booth 2” movie’s script. This research is to find out the types of slang terms in The Kissing Booth 2 movie’s script, by using Eric Partridge’s theory in his book entitled Slang Today and Yesterday. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative method. The result of this research showed that there are two types of slang in the movie’s script. They are Society Slang and Public House Slang.
