An Analysis Kinds of Bullying in Film Wonder by Stephen Chbosky
ABSTRAKSI :
This research is about bullying that August Pullman received as a main character in film entitled Wonder (2017). The purposes of the research are to find out the bullying action that Auggie received using Sejiwa’s Theory kinds of bullying that the main character received. Semai Jiwa Amini (SEJIWA) is a non-profit organization engaged in education. SEJIWA focuses on efforts to actualize oneself through values, such as integrity, empathy, respect, tolerance, and responsibility and can be found in “sejiwa.org”. This research uses qualitative-descriptive methods. The source of data is a film entitled Wonder by Stephen Chbosky. Based on this analysis, the data show that bullying actions received by Auggie as a main character include: psychic bully in form body language, refusing to be friends, eye glances. Verbal bullying in form humiliating, taunting, name joking. Physical bully in form throwing, pushing. And cyber bully which is humiliation by electronic media.
